if the opponant makes a foul e.g player pots the white then your break starts at 4
this gives people a new incentive to get a newer higher break
much more challenging

Sorry mate i dont like it, its not a snooker rule and i cant see it making the game more challenging, infact it will be easier to get centuries.

I also have to disagree with this, as it's not a snooker rule, and it wouldn't bring anything good to the game, but it would instead reduce the high breaks' importance.

disagree with this too.
dont see how it would make it more challenging.

One thing similar to this that i'm sure will be introduced at some point is the free ball rule, which will mean you can pot a color in place of a red following a foul as in normal snooker.

thats from a previous (but recent) thread about the free ball rule.
is it hard to code?

pffft he wants a 155 now
Almost impossible to code i'd say, not only would it be difficult to code wether or not you can see both sides of the next ball, also it would be nion imposible to code a colour counting as a red, overall it will be extremely complicated i imagine
Be happy with your 147!

A little, but there is a free ball rule already in UK pool so its been done before. I would suspect its one of the "missing rules" to be implimented in upcoming updates.
(and before anyone says, no, i dont know when!)

a question about the free ball,
i no it won't affect original much but arcade snooker won't that change everything to do with the maximum break, as we have sean_paul who has had a 107 68 times. if someone got a 110 for example they would take over all his maximums. bit unfair don't you think?

well spotted mate i think they should put the free ball rule in the snooker game (that's if it's going to happen) because it's more of a realistic game feature but i dont think people would agree with this matter they might be bored off the 107 coming up all the time and would like a change for a while, so i think it would be good if we gave it a trial on arcade to see how it goes i personally don't mind

Isn't the free ball rule in UK just you can hit and pot any ball on the 1st if a foul shot is given away?

Yeah the difference is the snooker judgement, which is just a matter of triangulation, something which may take humans a moment but shouldn't bother a computer too much.
Since the computation would take place betweeen shots it wouldn't impact the gameplay.

If this was brought in, i don't think the new highest brake would be achieved for a while, and would bring a great challenge to get it
If someone was to get the highest brake, is it 115?
probably wrong
definitely gets my vote
