You're kidding? At the match yesterday, a local derby which is supposed to have passion throughout. However, not one song came out, except when they were replying to chants from the Newcastle fans...

As if... typical from a magpie Sure you're not going deaf? And also I know your wrong, because every home game I've been to, Sunderland have sung the whole way through, maybe you just weren't concentrating on them

Well that wasn't the case on Sunday. They didn't have a chance to sing before we scored and they didn't sing one song to motivate their team, only to reply to the chants sang to them by Newcastle fans. And if any of you who was there wants to disagree with me then fair enough, but if not, I think I've got a more reliable view than you And despite being a Geordie, I wouldn't just come out and say that they didn't sing as they had been called the best fans if they had been singing.

Oh, and Lyle, I'm guessing you didn't go to the 4-1 drubbing off us then? 'Cause there was less than half the sunderland fans left by the end!

Not posted on here bit saw this so thought i'd say Hi and my thoughts on this.

Derby fans have always been excellent, we should be in the premiership finishing in the top half but this season has been shocking!!! Yet we still sell out every home game and nearly every away game this season.. We have sold over 20,000 season tickets for next season already so that tells you something!! apart from us i think Newcastle are great fans... Always loud and friendly... Good luck all you lot for next season..

yes mate, geordies are the best fans by far... they are the most loyal and devoted
52,000 people there every game, win lose or draw.
and most of them are season ticket holders.

From a Scottish perspective, the best fans in the permiership *seem to be* for liverpool. Dont all rush to disagree though

I would laugh mate, but unfortunately that was a terrible joke lol as Roy Keane once said 'the united fans prefer to eat prawn sandwhiches than chant'
