has anyone else suffered from the same glitch or bug or whatever you want to call this??

ive seen it for the third time in a week now, so thought i would mention this!!!

after potting a red, a colour was potted on all 3 occasions. they were all good pots, and definitely hit the colour first as i checked the ball thing on the right hand side

but instead of giving the player the points for the pot, it said Foul, Potted Wrong Ball!!??

and this led to the other player getting the pts for the foul, and the player who just made a perfectly good pot losing a chance for a decent break

there was a similiarty in the 3 shots, and it was that the colours were close to reds. but if the white hit the red first, surely it should say Foul, hit wrong ball??? (although im 100% sure the white hit the colours on all 3 occasions)

and on all 3 occasions, it was definitely after potting a red so you cant say "oh you potted a colour when you should have gone for a red"

any comments?

well neverhad it myself either your going mad, blind or.... more comforting option lol

its hard sometimes to tell when there close together so you will have to let the program take the call. However if this happens where no reds are in sight and you clearly hit the intended ball i would tell an admin and encourage your opponent to back you aswell.

Tis a strage one this, but not the first i've heard of it.

I've had this loadsa times.. thought nothing of it though.

Actually just to note (if you dont already know) that you can see the colour of the first ball you make contact with.

the thing is though, you can tell whether you have hit the colour or the red by looking at the ball picture above the power bar thing.

besides, shouldnt it say Foul, Potted wrong ball if i hit the red first??

and i think the likes or me, and ragefire even more so, are good enough to judge our shots lol

just to clear up, if you hit a red then a colour it would actually say foul, hit wrong ball as you haven't potted the red, just it it before the colour.

Anyway i have never seen this happen myself, but i don't doubt you are correct. It's a strange one, it would be less strange if it had shown the red ball in that little 1st ball hit thingy, and not the colour, even if you did it the colour 1st. But when it is saying you hit the colour yet giving a foul i find that odd.

I don't think this is a glitch. By any chance did you pot a red then another red because you forgot you had to take a colour? Or a colour then another colour because you forgot you had to take a red. This happens to me alot, might of happened to you

thanksfully mike they were really early on in the breaks on all 3 occasions, and they were all friendlies

but imagine if that was in a tourney final, or like when you are on for a ton

Now you tell it, I remember having had a similar error just once. I don't remember exactly, but the game called a foul when it was obviously not one, so I suppose it's the same issue.

I hope Nick will find the problem so he can fix it... we all know it's very difficult to fix a hardly-reproducible issue!

saw it again last night

won me the frame but the guest i was playing was within a red of winning the game

a pink this time, tight to red, but without a doubt clean pot to the corner, but Foul, potted wrong ball came up

Just thought I'd bring this back up, it happened to my opponent today. Also, xello I think the game just doesn't like you
