Liverpool appear to be stalling over he £18million asking price for gareth barry, should think so to be honest, well over valued. Also the signing of Robbie Keane has perplexed me, we are signing a 28 year old striker, who has never played for a big club really, no club has payed anywhere near £20million for him.

If i were rafa i'd be trying to rumble evertons move for joao mountinho, looking to maybe bring in a player like iniesta or deco (who will be a great little signing for chelsea). Our main weakness atm is our wingers, we really should pack in our interest with barry for now (he'll be worth 10million next year at 29! and strengthen in aeas we are weak in.

As for everton and the troubles you mentioned on page 5, i think your at a crossroads. I see it as you should forget the traditions of everton being the "peoples club" will not win you trophies and buy you players, even if it adds to the reasons your proud to support them.

It's a harsh reality and in some ways sad that we need foreign money in the premiership (and even outside of it with QPR) but it's gonna happen if we like it or not. All you can hope is that you get owners in who want moyes as the boss, provide hom money and stay away from the managing side of things (unlike ours) and then, maybe then you could avoid relegation... Only joking, if you get away from the peoples club thingy and the right investors come in, and the crowd get behind them instead of protesting, Everon will move forward, especialy if your stadium goes ahead.

selling johnson was silly especially as you haven't got a replacement in yet, alan smith is not the answer at all btw. If everton could whip up the funds Luis Saha would have been a good buy i think.

If things don't improve then I won't be suprised to see moyes leave and for him to go to scottish football somewhere, and for somebody like Adi Boothroyd to come in as replacement. You heard that here first

Everton to sign Highly rated Brazilian vagner love on a season long loan in the next 48 hours with an option to make the deal permanent for a fee around 8 million

Everton to sign Alan smith within the next week.

roumours about Joe Cole coming to liverpool, can't see that happening myself, chelsea would never sell to us.

Edit: Vagner Love will be going to everton on LOAN. There is a reason teams send players out on loan...

The only thing that Smith has provided Newcastle with is effort. He can't be faulted for that, but he can be faulted for his performances and the stupid acts in which he gives away stupid free-kicks and gets stupid cards (Man U away the most notable)

If he was worth 24 mill, the player would be playing or sold, and yes i've seen him play for brazil a few times and e looked out of his depth.

At the end of the day he must be unsellable, and if he's worth 24 mill, then surely they would not loan him out. ha would be like us loang out torres...

Would be good business for blackburn. Blackburn are worrying me though, my tip to be relegated infact.
