There are many people who only play friendlies, but have an 85%/15% win/loss rate. This wouldn't work due to people who play like that.

Oh lol. A handicap would mean he at least finishes with some points.. but just practice tbh. There aren't so many virts that you get drawn with one every single time anyway.

Explain why? From every other post in this topic, handicaps have seemed a bad idea. Why do you think they would be good?

The thing is some adepts, newbies and intermediates could be virtuoso's underneath, all depending on wins/loss ratio. You can never tell if they are a proper newbie or fake newbie due to the vast majority of the site users

Exactly jon. And also anyone can lose to anyone. Last week, i beat a 660 on the black ball. So anything can happen

Its very rare in any sports game to include handicaps to offset the skill of a player/team. If this was to be introduced I would reckon it would be a total new game and wouldnt affect the arcade or original snooker game as we currently know it.

Handicapped tourneys have been mentioned before and I think it is a good idea. As mentioned, it opens the possibility of a fake newbie, which isnt a good scenario. Again if introduced I think it shouldnt impact the current tournament schedule and would be an addition to it.
