Would it be possible to have a tournament where you don't know what game type you will be playing. For Example:
Virtuoso107 vs Ste_efc (original)
Zero_pulse vs Mr_107 (arcade)
Then if you win that tournament you just have an extra tournament win added to your overall.

Yeah i think that is a really good idea... because to win you'll have to be good at both but there is an element on luck in there... such as if you are amazing at original and you got that in the final then it adds a bit more fun to it.
Also i agree with the fact it will boost the popularity of the original game.. which seems to lack a lot of players.
Good idea.

Yeah but maybe the finals could be one of each game type, then if its draw after them, it randomises the last game, so keeps the player guessing, but maybe could have one like once a week?

Mixed Tournements
Following on from Jons (zero_pulse) idea I think it would be goood to have it set out like this...
Each round is completely randomnised on what game type you play for example...
Round 1 Race to 1 Snooker
Ste_efc vs Virtuoso107
Round 1 Race to 1 Arcade Snooker
Mr_107 vs Zero_pulse
And so on and so forth, the only way I think it could e fair is if all the rounds are infact all randomnised which effectively see you playing more of one discipline then the other, instead of it being different each round.
And instead of the tournement win going onto your overall, whichever game was played last then the win should go onto that discipline.
Hope you understand what I mean.

This idea is fun. I think it has been brought up before (without the randomization thing - which I'm not fond of). This tournament would test the best players on both games. I think it should be arcade or original in the first round then the other discipline, and so on. With a final of both disciplines.
I don't agree with this, because this double tournament would be different from the other current tournaments, so you can't count the wins as one of them. But I also don't agree with just putting this win in the overall section, because it would lessen its importance.
Then again, maybe this whole double game tournament isn't such a good idea.. so why the long post?
Grr!

i like this idea but i disagree that original snooker is that badly lacking players, i can think of at least 10 very good arcade players that have moved to orig in the last two months. I still don't see the appeal in it myself though

I'm not saying it's lacking in players, just saying it could bring in more people to join and play both game types lol
