this might be hard or impossible, but is it possible to move the server to a UK location? reasons being:
most players are from the UK
can access via IP address on ALL school computers
speed up the game for majority of players

Moving the server wont eradicate those two problems you are experiencing.
First of all, once the IP address changes your IT admin will blacklist that on the proxy (once he see's you playing snooker).
Secondly moving the server wont necessarily speed up anything. Any general slowness you are experienced is 99% server based compared to 1% bandwidth based. The funkysnooker game itself uses very little bandwidth (I used to happily play on a 56k modem and probably still could)

I did find a way round once...
Created my own proxy, typed webpage into it, it gave me an i.p address, then i typed the i.p address into the url at school and it worked! Until they blocked that way lmao

They did a block on all i.p at my school so if you typed i.p in, it wouldn't let ya go on.

no, accessing websites by IP only works for UK sites at my skl

Ok I take you point.....however I dont think your unique circumstances would warrant a server move.

no thats not a good idea considering the amount of people that play funkysnooker it would be silly to move cause then u wud have to shut the server down for at least a day to a few days maybe even more.. and there are alot of addicted players (mee) and the server is spot on where it is.
it would be like having blue wallpaper and going out and getting the same wallpaper and replacing it .. pointless
