I don't know if this has been suggested before (perhaps even by me ) but I can't find the thread (put it down to a senior moment if there is one).

A nice statistic to be added to one's profile would be Average Break. I think this would give an excelent indication of current form. I would think that, like the Max Break statistics, breaks over 10 only would be counted.

Unfortunately, being a statisic that relies on historical information (that isn't currently available) it would take some time to become meaningful but no more so than win percentages for newbies for example.

Any ideas?

cant see it happening...i dont think it would work either,
your break constantly changes, you can go a who game without breaking over 15.

there are other more meaningful stats that could be braught in

10/10 for enthusiasm

edit: spelling of course

That is why I sugeested that it would only count for breaks of 10 or over in the same way that Max Break is recorded

He said only breaks of 10 or over would count mate.

I really like this idea and I really hope it comes in.It would show us whether a player just got a flukey high break or if theyre consistent. Like me for example! I got a flukey 84, my average would be about 11

It should just be over 50 this way you dont have riduclously low averages if your having a real bad day.

I think this is a brilliant idea, but would need to be a long term stat to mean anything.

Anything over 8 should count, as that means you have potted more than one ball and are therefore on a break.

It could, but that would just place an unnecessary load on the system during the first few hours of the day.

A break average needn't be an instant "live" stat. A 15 minute refresh would be more than enough, especially after a few thousand games had been played.

Touché, maybe to have an average break you should make atleast 10 breaks over 8 then have that averaged

In much the same way as the win percentage, a break average will become more meaningful over time.
