Sadder news today. Killer Kolowski, probably best know to todays fans as the trainer of Triple H (among many many others) died yesterday.
He collapsed just over a week ago at his training school and never recovered.

More bad news with HBK injuring (suspected tear) his tricep during the closing angle of RAW. Hopefully its nothing major, and at least it can work well into the current storyline.
However, some positively amazing news from UFC. They have eventually come to a deal with heavyweight champ Randy Corture, and selectec his opponent for UFC91 - Brock Lesnar!
"In a conference call held Tuesday afternoon, UFC President Dana White announced that Couture would step back into the octagon at UFC 91 on November 15th in Las Vegas to defend his title against heavyweight contender Brock Lesnar.
Since Couture's departure from the UFC last October, the company crowned an interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Nogueirawill defend his interim title against Frank Mir at UFC's December show. The winners of Couture-Lesnar and Nogueira-Mir will then square off next spring to determine the undisputed UFC Heavyweight champion. "

Brock lesner is a big muscly bloke but he hasnt got what it takes to be in the UFC, Frank mir wasted him in his first fight with a mean ankle lock

He was very green against Mir, but his destruction of Herring last month was a different thing altogether.
The similarity of speed and wresting background to Couture should make for an interesting display.

HBK only suffered a minor tear so will be wrestling on Sunday, however i expect we will see another beatdown by Jericho (or some other stalling tactic) to set up a few weeks for him to recover so they can have the blow-off match they deserve.
Strong rumours that Sid may be coming for another WWE run in the end of september. To be honest, that might not be as bad as it sounds, they could do with an instant headliner now!

Yep, that Sid!
He made his return to the NWA earlier this year and desn't look too bad. But then he never did vary much in the ring!

I can't resist reminding all the "its fake" people that Sid carried on and finished the match after he did that ^^^ you wouldn't see many other athletes do the same!
I'd love to see Sid back in ECW. Plenty of Spike Dudly-esq opponents there for him to throw around.
Sadly though, he'll probably end up lumbering around with Khali....
Sid and Show could have a nice big man match.
Not much weekend news. Foley says he'll be in TNA in 3 weeks, but its a short term deal, and confirmed on the Opie and Antony show this morning that it was Vince yelling at him that made him decide to quit/not re-sign.
Gail Kin has yet to agree to a WWE contract and is back in negotiations with TNA, so i guess she wont be showing up in WWE so soon after all.
Interesting documentary on in the US on wednesday dealing with the Benoit case. Short story is that it confirmed steroids were not a factor, and that it was basically brain damage from multiple concussions that drove him mad. (VERY paraphrased that, but you get the idea!)
It was littered with the typical rubish that tends to end up in those shows, like an "entertainment analyst" explaining that WCW was a developmental organisation for WWE.....
On a brighter note - next weekends DVD watching is now avaliable for pre-order : http://www.amazon.com/Life-Times-Mr-Perfect/dp/B00120LPP6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1220651553&sr=8-1
