2 ideas for arcade and original snooker (not killer):
Free Ball: when snookered on object ball in any direction.
Solution: Either make go again or take a free ball (pot any ball) and points is lowest object ball.
Rerack: When 2 people play safe for a long time and no other option but a rerack.
Solution: after 3-5 shots of safety play from both players, put rerack option up (as if youre starting fresh) (take points away) and both people must agree on rerack, if not game continues.

P.S me, ste_efc and yoyoyo agree on this idea

As you've already mentioned I agree with the suggestions but there may be some difficulty in implementing them into the game.

How is the game supposed to tell that you're snookered on the object ball in any direction?

I like the re rack option, you could have a time clock at the top for say two minutes (5 minutes for original) soon as the time runs out it would make the person who originally broke break again. This would also stop the cheats who set them selves up!

But say I am playing a random game the score is 34-0 to me There is 1 red on the table so everybody knows if (s)he gets Red - black they can go on to win it by 1 point!!
But say the red is tied over the bottom bag next to the black EVERYBODY has being in this position and becuase I am so far in front I arnt going rish giving 7 points away and becuase (s)he has got the natural chance of winning they dont want to make a mistake and you end up playing tappy up shots for the next 10 minutes
I wouldnt mind playing safety for the next 10 minutes aslong as I won becuase if it was a re rack whats to say he is not gonig to get a break of 50 and game over then?

In that situation, it falls to the person in the lead to break open the balls. Which I believe are the official rules?

I think this was covered in the original post:
this is the way that it is done in real life, in practice, whereby the player in play offers the rerack which can be accepted or declined by the opposing player.
The offical rules http://www.worldsnooker.com/about_the_rules.htm Section 3 Rule 16 places the final decision on the referee, but since there is no referee, Rule 19 Part (c) applies.

I have brought this up because i think it would be great because it gives you a chance to get a bigger break so it gives other people chances to be top of the arcade and snooker break list. sorry ste_efc and damee

oh wouldnt i love to see the re-rack option avaliable the only trouble is 99% of ppl get bored and just whack the balls after a while and if you offered a re-rack to someone id say 100% would say nah ill just hit them

I think that the free ball rule should absolutely not be included in order to hit high breaks easier!
I'd like to see it, but only to make the game more realistic... and for the breaks, I'd recommend to make a separate break list with free balls, so we don't mess up things.
Otherwise we would see players trying to get a free ball just to have a better chance of hitting a high break, and this tactic would definetely have a negative impact on the game.

Exactly as blutch has said, it would just give people more of an option to achieve higher breaks.
My opinion is to leave it exactly as it is, especially for arcade considering it is an "arcade" game.
