Reason i suggest this is sometimes (alot of the time over the last few day) when i play i just cant get a shot to line up because the cursor skips over areas of the table.

20secs gives you enough time to line up one shot properly, if you try to line up on a ball that doesnt pot you have no time to change shot choice. I have found it really bad over the last couple of days, pretty much every 4th-5th shot is 100% impossible to line up. Giving me about 5 secs to line up and pot a different red.

I know im not the only person in orig this happens to there must be some way round this?

I understand what you are saying, but I think 30secs in tournie is too long-will cause alot of people time wasting and also will make tournies go on even longer. To reach final as it is usually takes 1.5-2 hours so imagine how long it would take on 30sec timer! Just my opinion

way to long 20 sec's does just fine i have never had a problem

to be honest i've never had a problem with 10 secs, i take the time the balls move to think of my next shot, 2 seconds to put on spin for position and 2-4 seconds aiming depending on difficulty of shot... most of my highest breaks have come in 10 sec games

30 sec game is too long i think, need 10-20 maybe 25 secs maximum

I think it is a reasonable suggestion. Perhaps you could choose to have a 30 second time limit for those hard to line up shots. Say, you are allowed to do this 3 times in a tourny match? I think that is fair.

The shot limit for tournaments should not be changed, for the reasons that have already been told earlier in this topic: we don't want a tournament to last too long, and also to avoid timewasters.

Personally I don't like 20 secs, and for some shots I just don't have enough time to think + aim, exactly as bgyuk described. However, the tournaments have the time constraints you know, so I don't see this changing in a near future.

By the way, even non-tourny games with >20secs time limit are already hard enough to find. If we had to change a default time limit, I'd rather suggest to modifiy the default time limit of normal (friendly & ranked) games, but not the tournaments.

jay_afc's idea is very good I think. Not only for tournaments, but for all types of games. It has already been discussed somewhere in the forum, but I can't find the topic...
