I am no maestro of the mouse, yet now and again, I reach the dizzying heights of beating one of you gifted few with a 9 at the start of your ranking. It fills me with honour and pride simply to be on the same table as you chosen few,to be hitting the same ball, and yet, on occasion, when I have lowered your colours, you all, to a man,m react dreadfully, sulking, despondant, no "well played", no "good game", nothing. No show of manners whatsoever. Is good sportsmanship left at the front door of the 900 club? Are you all so brimming of mouse moving talent that you have no space for decency? We lower, lesser mortals, think we've achieved greatness when we beat you; at least do us the courtesy of our victory before returning to your hallowed surrounds and licking your wounds.
Theres no need to name names, I and you both know who you are. You are shameful, abhorrent, and should lower your heads upon reading this.

hahaa im laughing here only reason we say tht is either yous are lucky or cheeky? no?

to be honest i recieve alot of bad words from lower ranked people that i have beat than higher.
No matter what i will say good game at the end.

Everyone has been in this situation of playing a player and thinking "you arrogant so and so" but thats the name of the game mate you clearly have to get on with it, i can assure you that this must of been a one off cause most 900 + regulars always say "gg wp" you will get the odd player but thats it. I recommend you to just be happy with the win and move on.

Having played many 900+ players (occasionally winning the odd game) I have to totally disagree with this. In fact, I can't think of a single instance whereby there wasn't a 'gg' and/or a 'wp' at the end (there may have been one or two, but I can't remember them).

On the rare occasions where there have been 'bad sportsmanship' incidents, they have always been with lower ranked players and more commonly Newbies that may be forgiven for 'not knowing any better'.

I can only surmise that you have just been very unlucky to have played the odd few players that are unsportsmanlike and the fact that they are Virtuoso is purely coincidental!

In any case, its their problem and you shouldn't really tar all 900+ players with the same brush.

Well said buddy I totally agree. Rank is nothing to do with manners or sportsmanship. When I was virtuoso (for that glorious 5 minutes ) I still said gg if I lost and any virtuoso I've played has been the same

all i get from lower ranked players is
"get a girl"
"get out more"

The only reason this would need capping is if it went way off-topic.. which it hasn't. Maybe it should just be moved to another section.. unless anyone has any ideas to stop the way people act.. which I find very unlikely.

So he isn't allowed an opinion? As you have seen by the rest of the topic, other people are singling out poorer players saying they are usually the ones for bad sportsmanship. You can't just say that masterjoe is guilty of singling out certain players here.

hmm in this game everybody can beat everybody at one point, be it due to luck or form, most players that regularly play are decent players however some that stand out as bad losers is a minority, if you get that just ignore it and don't play them again :)

Never have i played anyone and not wished them good luck, and said gg. I can only think of one person i have annoyed and that came about by suffering the worst lag/jumpy cursor ever, linsdell cam in and asked how a i was getting on and i said not well, a mixture of bad play/bad lag.

Need less to say i appoligised for any offense i caused, but thats been one time in near 700 games

i have to disagree with masterjoe, i try only to play high ranked players as i find a lot of lower ranked guys will throw abuse at you for no reason (whats the point?).ive just finished playing a game against a lower ranked "person" who after i beat him and told him gg ul, he preceded to tell me that he hopes that myself and my family contract cancer in the very near future, this is only 1 instance of many i could mention from lower ranked players.

There is a great danger here of falling into the same trap as the original poster by tarring all players of a particular level because of the few bad sportsmen that you meet (if that was the impression I gave in my original reply, I apologise because that was not my intention).
