if you download hypercam you can change the setting so it doesnt lag

what settings is that?

when hypercam is downloaded
go on the home page of your pc with all your programes there

right click
properties
setting
change the colour quality to medium {16 bit}
then click on advance
troubleshoot
and turn the hardware acceleration down to none
then click ok

and then try it

i dont get them settings when am on properties... on XP

when you right click and go on properties you should have 5 tabs across the top

themes
desktop
screen saver
appearence
setting

are they there for you

becuase when i had it, it wasnt on my pc but now this pc is mine so i could download it but i cant be bothered

when i went on hardware and went down to zero i got major lag

its ok but a little lag now

try looking at the setting on hypercam itself

redrebellion suggested using screen recorder gold

i've used hypercam and camstudio
hypercam is proberly the best out of the two i've used
and i've heard hypercam is one of the best anyway

just back onto the subject of a record button....

i think it could work without causing lag in the same way that people can watch games without it lagging,a remote server could 'watch' the game and record it,then send the users a link to the video

possibly a pay service?

then i wouldnt be able to record cos of pay service
