We are not even fully one round into the new premiership campain, yet still fans are already booing. I've seen and heard some amazing examples of it today (isn't this meant to be the most optimistic time of the season)

Firstly, for some reason arsenal fans were booing emmanuel adebayour, plus every sub that west brom made, resulted in the arsenal fans booing the player coming on, i don't get it!

Next, Everton fans (well what was left of them) booed their team off the pitch in their 3-2 loss to blackburn. even me as a liverpool fan think everton were harshly treated by their fans. Looking at their bench there was not one player i recognised, all of them young up and coming players. So with that in mind, even less reason to boo (unless fans were booing at the owners)

most understandable was the spurs fans booing berba when he came on.

What do we think of booing in footie, is there need at this ealry stage of the season? I think it's gone way to far, thoughts?

Match of the day, and match choice must be adding booing noises to ad effect then att the end of games.

And yup, it's alot harder to get hold of season tickets at anfield, than at goodison, due to the demand for tickets, there is about a 15 year waitig list. Anyway back on topic...

I disagree with booing your team off becuase booing doesnt make them play any better cheer them on get them thniking they got something to achive....

But when a footballer is earning £50,000 a week should they really be playing bad... everybody will say 'everybody makes mistakes' but for a wage that high nobody shoud be making a mistake so really the individual player has brought it on themself for being rubbish! (But I personally don't agree with booing as its funny cus when they score the week later everybody loves them)

Just to add Neville for Everton should be droped he deserved to be booed lol hes no good at all he is nuthing special and is not to the standard that they should be expecting from players to be finishing in positions for the top 4/5 places.

There is one case I will agree with booing, and that is Joey Barton. I hope he gets the harshest treatment ever when/if he plays again at SJP.

I'm going into my 7th season with a season ticket now and I've only ever left one match early nor booed except for players from other teams (Be it former players, players who've done something against Newcastle in that game or in the past, or just simply Cristiano Ronaldo ). That match was when we got beaten 5-1 off Birmingham and I would have stayed til the end then, but I was with a mate and his grandad and his grandad wanted to go so I had no choice.

Oh and I also heard very loud booing at the end of the Everton game

Efc_4_eva... how many Newcastle games have you actually seen? Your team gets beaten by a last minute winner off Blackburn, they get booed from every corner of the ground. Last season when Newcastle lost 1-0 to Blackburn off a last minute goal, most stands were still full with applauding people until the players left the pitch, not a boo to be heard.

Whenever we go behind, we don't sit there feeling sorry for ourselves and having a go, the first thing you hear after the opposition fans cheering is a sudden uproar of Newcastle fans shouting behind the team and chanting.

There are some people who come here and boo no matter what, but no where near the ammount that were booing yesterday at Goodison.

Come up to St. James', hear the atmosphere, see what real fans are like, then comment on us

Harsh Tom

We are great fans but the fans are getting treated badly in my opinion.

hold on, newcastle fans are the worst fans for booing there team when something goes wrong, there are plenty of examples of this on youtube.

Everyone thinks newcastle are the best suport in the country this is not true you only have that support because you a a one team city we have 2 teams in our city and with us being the less famous and recognised we still fill our ground week in week out and always sell out our away allocation.

anyway thats going off topic, i think booing is out of order but if it is a bad performance maybe thats what the team needs to hear to boost them but on the otherhand they always want to hear the crowd behind them, i dunno lol

Oh I'm not saying that Everton fans are badly, in no way do I think that and reading back on my comment I realise that's what it appears like, so I apologise for that.

I do rate Everton fans as some of the best, but don't see what Efc_4_eva has been seeing to say that we boo when something's going wrong. As I said I'm going into my 7th season with a season ticket, and there are only a minority who boo for the slightest things, nothing to be easily heard on TV.

Though I do admit sometimes there are times when you will hear loud booing, and the worst of that did come in the Allardyce times, but nothing as bad as Efc_4_eva is putting accross...
