Will the killer rankings be introduced into overall?

I think it would make it more popular as people will want to get up there

The concensus when this was mentioned on pool was that they should be included, but to leave them for a few weeks to settle down so as not to distort current overal standings.

However there were views both ways so it will be interesting to see what the general opinion is here.

Personally I would like to see it as it would promote involvement in all of the 3 games here.

However I do agree with Spinner I would recommend that there should be X (50?) amount on non-newbies before killer score is brought into overall scores. As this would give a fairer reflection of rankings.

i personlly not a huge fan of killer, and wouldnt like it to be included into my overall. As this will put my overall below professional

I think it has to be included, otherwise overall wouldnt mean overall. but as already said it would have to be in a few weeks once the killer tables have had time to even out.

Thats a valid point. I, personally, very rarely play Killer. However, I would be likely to play it more often if it was included in the overall stats.

Redrebellion, you voice your opinion about it putting your Overall score below 800, however, didn't you have to practice at the other games to get it over 800 in the first place?

In my opinion, i dont think it should be introduced as killer has nothing to do with snooker or arcade. Killer is a side game in my opinion and i dont think rank should have been introduced to it.

Like i said, thats my opinion

As I said on funkypool we can weight the different games going into the overall, eg arcade 40%, original 40%, killer 20%.

Or any amounts....

Thats a fair enough point Nick, i just thought as killer is more of a "fun" pool game, and not a main snooker game, would it be right to bring it into the overall rankings?

Yeah, I thought it was just that extra bit on the side. I personally would hate it to be introduced into the overall rankings. Would feel like a punishment for not playing it to be honest. Also it isnt an actual game of snooker so I just dont think it should be added full stop.

It's a descriptor of how versatile as opposed to how simply how good you are.

Yeah i think thats what many players think about the overall rankings. I was just saying, how can i put it.. killers on a different level to the two snooker games. Where as the two snooker games are more simulation, killer is a mini-game in a way like mini-golf over on pool. Im not saying it should'nt be classed in overall rank, just giving another theory on the matter.

What if a billiard game were to be added, for example?

Would that really fall into the simulation category, i dont know. Would be nice if we could have some feedback lads!

billiards aint snooker tho really. its an extra like golf on pool. Are we getting the rankings like on pool where it says what number you are like 47th cos i quite like that.

Personally depending on amount of games played on killer, if it's popular with rankings i feel it should be introuduced, snooker_ryan said it perfectly, its a game, so should be classed as overall aswell, if was just points would be different but its not it has rankings now
