i hate it when people get away with swearing and saying stuff about you. people swear at you by putting a space in between the swear word making the *************** not come up and when i try and send a complaint it says "no chat coments made by this user" i think it would be good if you could type in your complaint instead of using the ones that are there. YOU could use the ones that are there but there could be a box underneath where you can type your own complaint in to make it easier and not let people get away with what they do.

complaining about ..........

complaint reason ..........

is it something different? type your complaint in below

Please do not use all bold letters an underlining and the complaint system is fine, what you say only happens when you type the users name in incorrectly.

stupid thread jags its fine you used to have to type in the reason and now it is a drop down menu much better

Each incident is treated on its own merits, there is no points system or anything like that.

The only times you will see "no chat coments made by this user", are if you sent complaint from the wrong window (they swear in chat and you send complaint from PM box) or if you spell their name wrongly.

However, both of these situations are being addressed and will be sorted in a future update.

Just out of interest, does anyone know why you can only make one complaint every 30 mins ? What happens if there are more than one person to complain about? or the same person just keeps on breaking the rules?
I've seen it happen, in particular with obscene or abusive langauge and obviously when no mods or admin are on (they can't be on 24/7).

Thats another area thats being discussed. The restriction was put in place to prevent "spamming" of the contact system, and other abusive use.

Admin are to lazy grae

If a person abuses you in a pm box, then you send the complaint from the pm box using the send complaint button at the side of your pm box.

If a person abuses you in the main game/chat area, then you use the send complaint button on the main game/chat screen. Simple.

Thanks Spinner, I can see where it could be abused ! but on occasions, there could be times when it would be useful to have the option to be able to "complain" more than once in 30 mins. I have to say, fortunately, quite rarely is it necassary, but we all (staff and members) should be working towards a family friendly site. That's the only reason I brought it up

Seems like a middle ground may be to not be able to complain about the same user for 30 mins ( there's always ignore ) but to be able to complain about other users within this time.

Still open to abuse but once the admin get them then the person abusing can be dealt with.

problem is that the same user may come back with more severe or threatening abuse after you send a complaint, having a limit makes sense but it need not be as long as 30 minutes.

myself, i would like to see a bit more openess and honesty from the mods and admin. by that i mean letting us discuss issues that genuinely affect users of the site. this morning i made a thread simply asking why banned users are now allowed to be moderators, but i log on now to see if there is an answer and the thread is gone, no answer, just as if it didnt exist.

banned users profiles are left on the site for all to see, so i dont understand what is wrong with mentioning them when illustrating a point. i know mods and admin are not allowed to discuss bannings etc, but we all know why most of them happen, so its not like a big secret.

give us some answers, let us discuss things, and we will have a better and happier group of site members as a result.
