Why does this always happen in the middle of a game????????!!!!?!!!!

I was just about to win a game and get to virtuoso again and now i'm back at 882 or something!!!!

First of all, watch your language. This is a public forum and younger users will be watching, not wanting to see you using profanities.

Secondly, its either your browser or Java. I suggest you reinstall both.

That's what the astericks are for ok....

And there's nothing wrong with my browser or java it's happened on both laptops I've played on and family pc on IE firefox and safari and it just happens every now and again

there are other words in the english language that can be used to show your frustration that will be more appropriate

People can still tell what its meant to say .

Also, if you're so sure thats theres nothing wrong and that its just a random occurence, why waste a topic for it?

Nine times out of ten, a problem like that relates back to java. If you ask Spinner, he'll tell you to go to Start > Run and enter some letters to see a problem log. This will tell you why your browser keeps closing. Unfortunately, I don't know what those letters are. So to attempt to fix it, you'll have to wait until Spinner or someone else who knows comes online.

For now, go to Add and Remove Programs and remove Java. Then go to http://www.java.com to reinstall it. I can't promise that it will work, but its worth a try.

Astericks are used 100's of times a week in newspapers and newspapers aren't "adult only", point being there's nothing wrong with using them lol.

Well I've recently installed a different version of java and it's happened with both now so I doubt it's java related...I forgot to say..When I re-open a game window it won't let me login for about 3 minutes, saying I'm already logged in or something.

I don't want to root through the registry and everything looking for the problem just posted to see if anybody else has/had this problem and if they have a fix it would be appreciated, thanQ.

Point being this is'nt a newspaper, end of.

It clearly states in the agreement of the rules when you make your account that no swearing, profanities etc can be used. That includes using asterix to cover them up.

But on topic, i would wait for spinner to come online as iamtheworst said.

Firstly, there is no excuse for circumventing the chat filter. Everyone agrees to have read and agreed with the site terms when signing up for an account. Not to do so following that suggests an inablity to agree with yourself, which is worrying at best...

On to the problem in hand. A quick search of this forum would have shown you this is a common problem usually caused by a java update.

To rectify ;

- Go to control panel
- Add remove programs
- Remove all the java versions you see (there may be more than one).
- Clear browser histories including downloaded program files.
- Reboot (even if you're not told to)
- Visit http://update.microsoft.com to ensure your OS is up to date and to run a malware scan.
- Reboot
- Then visit http://www.java.com for a new, clean, install.
