Every time I log on there is never anyone playing.

I usually sit around practising for 10 minutes or so and sometimes someone will turn up and play.

i play carom but dont play it much cos of same reason

I try n play but when i turn up nobodyu else is having a game lol I play dgeneratio when we have a mad day and play everything lol

Maybe there should be a computer bot we can play against whilst waiting.

Otherwise it's just getting a bit pointless.

No, if that was to happen, it would have to be friendlies only, ranking will confuse everything up.

And personally there is more use of time than to make a computer play you.

I wasn't suggesting games against a bot should be ranked - that would just be silly.

But I get bored senseless waiting for someone to play carom, so much so that I no longer bother if there is not a game waiting.

It will die a slow death soon I'm sure.

Carom is a waste of a game in my opinion, i played one game then never played again!

Agreed, its got less popular quite rapidly, even orig gets more players on than it

It's a great game if you give it a chance....

Also it really improves doubles and snooker escapes for when you're playing...

Anyway, i also suffered from nobody being available to play and since have stopped playin...

If anyone readin this wants a game when im on, add me and pm me when im on and il be up for a game...

Personally i think it is a waste of space!
There was a big hype over it when it first arrived and now no-one ever plays it, maybe it should be replaced by pocket billiards but would that just be left un-used like carom?
personally i would just scrap it all together.

why scrap it, its there if people want to play it, personally i like carom but not enough people play it so i agree with you on 1 point.

about pocket billiards is a great idea but will people play it or will it become a distant land.

But i don't mind carom, yes it is a little hard to understand and get a feel for at first but some people do enjoy it

As in everything, people will "vote with their feet" - or rather their mouse button - and it will either become popular or not, depending on how many people really enjoy it. I don't like it much, it seems kind of hard and difficult and a little pointless; but many games are like that.

A year or two ago there was a lot of talk about how hardly anyone played orig, but that's still here and seems to be getting more popular.

I think we should leave Carom to live or die on its own merit .. it will eventually become obvious to Nick and everyone, whether it should stay or get scrapped.

I agree with all these points. I'm not here often, and no-one plays carom often, but I like it. Leave it.
