I'd really like to see some new types of tournaments introduced. Like 2v2 and swiss leagues etc.

In 2v2 both team members play, if both team members win you go through, and if one member wins, one loses, then the 2 winners play together to see which team advances.

In Swiss, its more like a league than Knockout. Each player plays 5 games for example, and person at the top of the league after 5 games wins.

I'd also like to see "Tournament directors", a player who is allowed to make tournaments at any time of day. Nick chooses someone willing and who he trusts, and then that person can make tournaments if there is a lot of demand for them.

Personally i like it, what do you think?

I think it's a class idea too, so long as spursjay will be my partner otherwise I hate it!!!!!!! !!!!! It would take a bit of organising though hey! Any volunteers???

Glad you like the ideas. Maybe it would take some organising at first, but once a system is set in place it will run like clockwork and make funkysnooker a lot more dynamic. More interest for everybody.

I'd be extremely grateful if Nick was to try out these ideas, as i think it would attract a lot of newcomers to the game, and make it fun for the veterans.

I for one would be willing to help work towards it, I've got a lot of spare time on my hands since uni finished :D

I like the idea of the swiss league type thing.

Just a league in general would be good, thats run through funkypool. More reliable then the members sites.

i can see you got this idea from cases (myleague)..there leagues and tournaments are run by tournament directors and also have the swiss type function and 2v2...i agree though Swiss and 2v2 are good however, u dont really need Tournament directors
