Is it me or has funkysnooker lost it's incentive to play now? It's too much like real life snooker and with the rankings change and all that, I personally have lost my taste in this game and i think many will agree.
Can we have it back to normal?

I believe Nick's intentions are to make funkys game play as realistic as possible.
I think the changes are a good move forward. And changes, imo, induce a greater interest to play than ever before!

By the way, I will clarify this as a lot of people have brought the funkysnooker name up to defend unrealistic aspects - funky is called so because it works even on older machines, through firewalls, and the whole game is tiny at 300kb.

You know i was around funkypool when there was tournaments very rarely and when there was there was alot of intrest, when rank was something you wanted to gain and become number 1, when there wasn't games introduced that dont get played, they was the good old days and the days i and i think a few others want back.
There are more and more people deactivating now than ever, Surely that's a sign right?

How on earth do you know this jon? Where are you getting your proof from, maybe you know a few users who have deactivated but come on your "facts" are a tad drastic!
And imo the game is better then ever.

See that's what i don't agree on, why is it called funky then? In order for it to have a lot of people play this then it needs to be different more FUNKY than any other snooker site

If it is more realistic more keen snooker players will stay

There are also more users online (at any one time) on average than ever. Pushing to nearly 300 quite regularly.
The site communities opinions as a whole are in Nick's best interests, this can be seen by things that have been introuduced by massive popular demand. 'Regular Snooker' being the most obvious I think.

I understand where your coming from but a few people liked the old days, Can't you just get rid of a few tournaments, Carom and possibly killer?
13:09 Sun 28 Dec 08 (GMT) [Link]
So that's what your asking for? To get rid of two games and tournaments? You could have just said that to start with it has nothing to do with the site being funky!

im sure the number of new members joining heavily outnumber the members that are deactivating?
granted i haven't been around as long as most on here but i see the changes brought in as a positive step forward, and have made the site better and a lot more enjoyable for me than when i first signed up.the new spin update has sent me back over to orig, a game i had stopped playing.
i would be more annoyed if the game updates were making it less realistic; say if the change in spin went from what it is now, to what it was before the update.
and although it may seem carom isnt played so much, the tournament today seems quite busy for a game that 'doesn't get played'.
just my thoughts

The numbers of deactivating have increased since a few months ago... because you didnt used to be able to deactivatge, so you couldnt tell so much when people were doing it. simple

Given the amount of different, and therefore funky, content that has been added recently, the site is (as shown by the numbers) growing from strength to strenght.
There are fewer deactivations than used to be deletions, but the difference is that before ou couldn't tell who was who. Not to mention that the amount of uses who *actually* leave the site is extremely small.
And of course, if you prefer fewer tournamnets and no carom or killer, just dont play the ones you dont want
Find another snooker site with features as funky as these, and i'll eat my helmet

To be honest I don't think I have ever seen it say 300 people online unless I am on just at the wrong time?
Also:
When buying a website generally first thing you do is buy your domain name so you no what to call the themed game etc?
And I am sure during the screating of funkysnooker that he did not say to himself 'Right thats it its gonig to be 300kb nuthnig more nuthnig less its just by chance that its 300kb also runescape works on older machines and it will work against any firewall becuase its internet based online game it runs from your web browser? you find me a online game that runs from the same window that requests your firewall to allow it i just don't think you will.
Also how can it not be funky nick made a 10 Red snooker game the balls the size of basket balls and huge pockets so all in all I think nick might of lost his imaginary side and trying to turn the site around to a much more professional level
