Yea the PDC have definitely knicked one of the referees, a young fella. Christ their taking everyone although if I was a referee I'd move over as well, better darts, more 180's, more entertaining nights work.

PDC rules, BDO has nothing on PDC they have 2 maybe 3 players who 'could' transfer to PDC which is Gary Anderson (best BDO player in my opinion) Gary Robson and Martin Adams, personally i think Robson and Adams wouldnt be as 'good' as they are on BDO, my personal best player is Phil 'the powerrrrrrrrrr' taylor!! but i like most PDC players, Wade, Mardle, Manley, Barney, Lewis, King, Painter ect. i have a PDC dartboard and i think its alot better than the BDO board i personally think its clearer but i need some new darts though when i first started about 3-4 year ago i was buzzing when i hit treble twenty just once lol, i've had one possible chance at a 9-darter i got 2 180's i got the t20 and the t15 but missed d18 by a mile the standard of darts now though is just incredible, i remember a few years back taylor won the world championship on an average of something like 95 or something, now he is averaging 110 or there abouts most of the time.

Yeah barney got whooped 7-1 by taylor and barney was about 101 average, that would have won any other year with that average but taylor with the world record in a final of 109.75, its just incredible how much the standard has increased.
Even the first round matches was quality.

Watched one of the prelimary rounds, and in one their average was about 95 which is better than most at the BDO.

I tried to watch the darts yesterday on BBC last night, and found that they had already been played. BBC's couverage does nothing to help it, there wasn't even any highlights. Think it is Hankey Vs Oshea in the Final.

Not quite Taylor V Barney is it? But i bet it is actually more entertaining to watch

Say what you want about the BDO, but that was an incredible final, like Adams Vs Nixon was a few years back, and Klassen Vs Barney the year before that (both at PDC now though). What it lacked in quality, it made up for with drama and suspense. Great stuff really.

i'm sorry mate, but me and the missus was watching that and for 'professional' darts players the standard was poor, very poor Hankey had 6 chances i think it was to seal the match and missed every single one if that was in PDC against the like of Taylor Barney Wade ect. you would of been demolished i carn't think of one player who could survive in the PDC industry, they may reach 1-2 finals but i doubt they would be as 'big' as they are now in BDO IF anyone in BDO could survive in PDC i would say it would be Gary Anderson, but i still think he would struggle i think it's the european championships or something like that were both BDO and PDC play in the same comp, guess which side wins everytime?... obviously not BDO, i also noticed that you said where it lacks quality it makes up for it in drama, ok that's a fair comment but do you really put darts on to see them score 20's,30's,40's and 50's? if i wanted to see that kind of standards i would go down to my local on darts night... even then i think they get 100's.

I guess it's each to there own, if you prefer BDO then you prefer BDO but for me it is PDC and will be everytime, i would like to see the two merger though!

..... i think it would make it more intresting, then there would be no moaning about which side would be better!, it would be who would the best player be, and the top 5 would be obvious 1. Phil 'the power' Taylor. 2. Raymond Van Barneveld. 3. James Wade. 4. Gary Anderson. 5. Wayne 'hawaii 501' Mardle or Martin Adams three or four of the top five players would be PDC without a doubt, the top 3 being PDC.

Oh I much prefer the PDC, but it finished, and the BDO started, and I love darts, so thought i might as well watch the BDO. Dont forget tho the BDO supplies the PDC

I love darts, footballs a religion but in my opinion darts is 99% more entertining. People can moan and groan about the PDC is better than the BDO all day, but the facts are, anyone who is a world champion in the PDC is more than likley a world champion in the BDO. The BDO suppiled all the greats, Phil, Barney,etc........ They even stole the best referee. George Noble!

At the end of the day, the better players (who are motivated by money) will move to PDC.

The others either stay for an easier ride, or the prefer the BDO - or both.

Remember the BDO had all the best players in the world at one stage, until the top 16 decided 2 move across 2 the PDC. Sky sports has fed millions into the PDC. And remember the prize money for the PDC was £125,000 and the BDO'S was £95,000. Not shaby at all!!

I think the BBC still own the rights, and recently got rights to televise the BDO Masters.
