I do watch darts as often as i can, which to be honest isnt that much, but i do like co stompe. what a player!

Haha, it wasn't Adams that said that line, that was some BDO representative.

The BDO has lost its attraction and quality, most decent players in the BDO often switch to PDC after a few years, Barney, Klassen, Mervyn King, even the likes of Kevin Painter and Ronnie Baxter who was thrashed 6-0 by Ted Hankey. Also it goes to show the gulf in class, as I know there is an event in Holland which is a BDO event which allows up to 5 PDC players to compete and of which the last two years they have won easily and convincingly. I don't know whether it's due to the financial backing players get in the PDC or the better coverage but there is definitely a gulf in class. However, I do still like to watch both championships when there on as I do take an interest in most sports and I have to say I am enjoying the BDO championship as well. I think the game needs a merger of some sort, and also an increase in funding to maintain and provide higher prize money for players lower down. As for my favourite player, I was a big Steve Beaton fan, and Barney is class. Sid Waddell on commentary also makes it more exciting for me, what a commentator!

omg that is sooo funny taylor and the PDC are light years ahead of the BDO players and i cant stand martin adams more than any of them, he thinks he is the best dart player to walk the planet when infact he would be ranked around 30 in the PDC grr pains me to think of the size of that mans head
barney wins 4 world titles easily then comes to the pdc along with klassen who just beat him in a final and not only do they get good competition but they get beaten

Can't stand Taylor myself, but Barney has been brilliant really since coming to the PDC. To give them some credit, they do produce alot of the PDC players.

I also prefer the lakeside dart board itself, it seems alot clearer for some reaosn... lol

tbh taylor is the best thing to happen to darts his attitude is second to none and he is always trying to improve showing no cockiness whatsoever. i think barney is great but when he thinks he is beat like alot of players he will give up a bit and aimlessly throw darts.

as for the boards i have both in my room and i have to say the eclipse pro (PDC) throws much better than the blade

i think the BDO will always have that bit of magic though even with the standard dwindling a little because it was the first ever championship, although there were two crackerjack quarter finals on tonight.

On a lighter note, how poor is the women's standard of darts, no disrespect, but there is only one winner from the off, poor scoring and genuine poor play.

The ladies darts are rather awful, that Trina Gulliver wins every year (except last, but think shes in PDC now lol) got knocked out 1st round.

i was watch BDO the other day and the commentaters were raving over some one getting a 90 average
they would get knocked out first round in PDC
you can tell BDO arnt as good PDC because they get more scores like 41,26,45,60
