I didn't even notice this but I agree with darr_carr keep orig tournys at a high!

There simply isn't demand for original tournaments. Less than 16 people in some tournaments.



I've tried to organize the majority of tournaments to the peak time, eg UK evenings.

Currently there is the same value winning a tournament with 8 players or 64 players, so it is unfair for those on at busier times if people can win a tournament at the right time via 2 or 3 matches.

Maybe in the future tournament can have a points based structure (it has been considered before) that benefit those winning at busier times.

I understand what you're saying but I don't think there's any value to winning any tournament other than the sheer enjoyment and satisfaction of just being triumphant at that particular time.

Sure if there were seasons or league tables or something then I could definitely see why you might want to weight rewards based on the level of competition.

There are people around the top of the 'tournaments won' tables on pool who win the vast majority of theirs during 'off uk peak' times and it doesnt seem to cause any harm there.

Additional off peak tournaments here might even pick up some new players, or extra players from the pool site.

OK, tournaments have been rescheduled. For now I've kept it as simple as possible and have the same timetable every day.

Wonder how many people will stay up until 3am to try and win an 'easy' tournament.

ok now we got tournies for reg-only thing i cant work out is why times are at 3pm (people still on way home from school or at work), and 10 pm -where tournie wont finish til at least 11pm meaning alot of people cant enter as they have to get up for school or work! I dont think these times will really help to show how well regular snooker is doing. Any opinions?

Regular and original slots have been changed round.... let's see how that goes.

i feel like theres too many arcade tournies and not enough original since the regular came out and also you could have put regular in at 5 pm instead of all this turn around.

Maybe fill the whole thing until midnight with original and regular (the ones have had hour gaps like 5 pm for example)

I don't see the point in filling the gaps because you need to give time for the tournaments to finish.

what about the arcade, original idea i mentioned, there are far too many arcade tournaments and not enough original.

regular and carom are fine as they are atm but maybe original and arcade could be balanced because i remember when there was like 5 orig tournie a day and now it doesnt seem that many anymore since regular come into this.

my suggestion is to get rid of some arcade tournie and change them to original because these should be balanced.

original players would agree with me here.

Why should they be balanced when the amount of users playing each game type isn't balanced?

Tournaments are weighted by number of users of each event.

Recent ranked and tournament games:
Arcade: 21,358
Regular: 2,150
Original: 1,501
Carom: 222

So if anything regular and original are over represented.

I know this is off topic but why aint all of game types shown on the home page?

Oh and if another orig tourny was introduced, that number would go up definately.

well take 2 from arcade and put them on regular and original.

point im trying to make is there are 7 arcade tournies in a day, 3 regular and 3 original BIG difference dont you think?
