1. Nominate Colour - in other words select the colour you intend to play after potting a red. This is to avoid hit and hope shots after snookering yourself on a red!

2. No screw shots when the cue ball is on a cushion or tight in front of another ball. Just like in the 'real' game this would give good safety shots an added bonus.

3. Allow up to 5 points extra to be used as an optional bet. Speaks for itself.

okay sorry for anysarcasm but no, options 1 and 2 have never been discussed before have they? I believe difficulties in implementing and and underwhelming response were reasons why they were not adopted.
