sorry for swearing ppl, tevez walks all over berbatov and vidic is brilliant he can get stuck rite in. its true lampard and berbatov are very overated, the problem with berbatov is that at tottenham he was there best player so he stood out and u could see all his fancy gear wat he pulled off, but at united uve got ppl like that all around him!! ji sung park however i think hes overated aswell but(and its a big BUT) he doesnt half get stuck in!! thats wot i fink any ways lol

this may be just me and it will make alot of ppl mad on here but i fink gerrard is overated! the thing what ppl like about him is that he can score the crushall goals! but with all the talent what liverpool have got he shudnt need to!! sorry i shudnt of said tht about gerrard i fink its rafa making alot of mistakes and trying to experiment at the wrong times!!!! thats why he has to score the crushall goals, his shoulders must hurt!

Gerrard is the best player in the world. I 100% believe that, and its not me being biassed. I would rate him and Torres and the two best players in the world in fact.

We will have to wait and see who it goes to this year, the inevitable Messi or Ronaldo most probably. Ronaldo so clearly isn't.

Put it this way, if Gerrard was Italian/Spannish/Brazillian or played for United, he would have won it by now.

Well i personally believe that Gerrard is 1 of a selection of the worlds best players, like Ronaldo, Torres, Robinho, etc, on there day they deserve the title of best player.

Park ji sung in my opinion is quality, complete work horse and he gets goals, id have berbatov in my team too he reminds me of van nistlerooy,

i hope gerrard wins worlds best player one day he does deserve it definately.

Messi is the best player in the world.

I think I saw someone say Ryan Taylor was under-rated? He isn't, he has a class delivery and free-kick on him, but the rest of his play really isn't anything special.

Sebastian Bassong, can't really say he's under-rated because he hasn't been around for long enough to be given a 'rating', but he definitely is a class defender.

Put it this way, alot of people involved in football believe Gerrards is the best in the world. That includes the current Chelsea manager and Zinedine Zidane.

Messi is still a prospect, Gerrard knows his game inside and out, and if I were to choose over the two, I would choose Gerrard. I would like to see what Messi could do in the prem. He certainly would be nowhere near as effective than in a poor, poor, poor, really poor, spannish league.

If I was England manager, I would be saying bye to Lampard. Then we stand a chance, if Gerrard is given the role rafa provides him.

But of course we can only dream.

Messi is the only player who I have ever seen do things and I have thought "How on earth did he manage that". When Barca played Man Utd in the Champions League last year I could have watched him for hours on end as he always managed to make something that you would just think "wow" about.

How can you say that he wouldn't be as effective as he is in Spain? He's better than Ronaldo IMO and look at the effect that he has.

Steven Gerrard does things that you think 'How on earth did he manage that' too.

He has been the best player in the premiership this year, single handledly winning points for Liverpool, he IS Liverpool.

Ronaldo was by far the best player last year, he's fallen short of that this year, I would say Gerrard is the best player in the world with Messi a close second.

Bassong is quality Tom too.

Underated players - Babel, Kieran Richardson, Michael Turner.

Overated - Berbatov, Ashley Cole.

I don't think Messi has been particularly brilliant this year, and I have watched a fair bit of him.

Tom, it is one thing, as I said to perform in sunny spain, with nice playing conditions, against teams who are scared by the name "Barcelona", but it would be another to perform on a cold winters night against Stoke at the Brit.

My hunch is that he wouldn't survive. Of course we will never know, because A) good foreign teams are good at keeping their best players. B) I don't think he would want to leave. Caution with Messi though - Ronaldinho was in the same mould, and his career is going nowhere.

That is where I think Torres has been brilliant, he will ruff it out, take the kickings, sulk for a bit, then BANG BANG BANG.


WIth regards to Gerrard, I think he will one day (well I almost know it) be Jamie Carraghers #2. I can't see it not happening, we might start bringing therough more carras and gerrards who would walk into any team on the planet. (well except England...)

ste - Ryan Babel aint underrated, he is just a complete DONKEY!!! Runs so fast, am sure it affects his brain, like a headless chicken.
