How old is the site at the moment? Very few are still here from them days, I know "lol" is and I think geordie Tom is deceptively old skool...

I think its about 2-3 years old

Which is a great achievement because some sites dont last aslong as 1 month.

So Nick should be proud

Hard to predict where FunkySnooker will be in 10 years time, I mean 10 years ago how many people thought that they would be playing snooker against people from accross the world through computers? Could go anywhere.

in 70 years wont that be 120 odd years since newcastle last won something?

I make it 73 years actually, the Intertoro Cup is becoming bigger and bigger as time goes by

More seriously, we did actually win the old first division (Championship now) in '92/'93 so it'll be closer to 90

Look at this users sign up date:

I believe that was the first step to the creation of funkypool/snooker.

Nick has been doing work with pool/snooker for about 10 years maybe more, so it makes sence to think it could be around in another 10 years time

If you think about how much things have changed since the pool sharks days, it puts a better perspective on things.

It took a few years for snooker to be added, likewise automated tournaments, invite options etc.

Certainly other games could spawn from this. I've often said how I think the sites forum/game template is probably the biggest asset.

Think about the other games which could work a similar control/game format.

Funkybowling? Funkydarts? And my personal favourite - Funkysubbuteo! (ok, major licensing deal required there )

The key is playability. As we move to the next generation of computers and touch screen technology, the 3D games are going to struggle.

However I've been playing the funkygames on tablets for a few years now, its great. Set the wireless pen sensitivty high and you can use your pen like a cue!

Perhaps FunkySnooker and FunkyPool combining and forming to make FunkySports?

Snooker
Pool
Darts
Killer
Everything

Never saw that

Yeah I've been registered since July '06, but played pool and played on here as guest from around May I think.

But yeah, barely anyone left from when I was first one, forums have definitely completely changed from then! lol
