just havin a rant because have spent the last 2 months buildin up my ranking - playing some great players and in the last 2 nights arcade snooker has went from a very enjoyable game to a game of frustration at bad play/hit and hope ALWAYS being rewarded....

surely there must be a way of rewarding good play ie smaller pockets so that people just cant wack balls every shot and pot them.

so so so so so annoying!!!!!!!!!!!

People aren't rewarded for playing 'hit and hope' shots, it's simply a case of the luck of wether it's going in.

If you want smaller pockets, play original. Bad play isn't rewarded, it comes off with a bit of luck sometimes, good play is rewarded.

Bad Play getting Rewarded is a similar term i always get abused with

When people play great shots against bad losers its usualy a case of getting abuse and being 'flukey' when it really isnt.

And of course when your opponent gets flukey... Any decent man would say sorry... but if he doesnt say sorry... all you can do is just get on with the game and play best you can. Dont lash out because thats exactly what they want you do do

I got to agree, if I hit a red (go for the pot) miss and snooker them I always hold my hand up and say sorry same as if I go for top left it rattles and rolls in top right lol but some people just don't see it like that though its a different game for some people altogether

Also some times I will say 'Middle bag' on a difficult shot when it goes in they like nice :O but if you dont and you hit like 3/4 cushions everybody just assumes your lucky instead of thinking wow he might be a half decent player!

I got called flukey for doubling the black into the corner pocket on orig once..

It shut him up when I went and did it into the other corner and the middle pockets though

To be honest, if you have the balls to try and fluke then you deserve to pot something. Too many people on this site are what I eloquently call 'chicken players' who just tap and tap and tap and get annoyed when someone flukes.

i have to say that why i used to enjoy arcade, there is a skill to "playing the percentages" i.e. a hit and hope with a vague element of planning can sometimes be a good option, sometimes bad, the skill is working out when to do it or not

If you go for a shot and it flukes in they got a chance but if they go for it and they miss and clear up then surly your the lucky 1?
