funkypool gets new update before funkysnooker AGAIN

Would you rather us get funkysnooker try them out first?

Then we get all the bugs and thats how the site goes down.

The only reason they get updates first if to get rid of all the bugs, and make Nick aware of them so he can rid of them a.s.a.p

its only a new skin im sure their are no bugs on it + why cant we get an update first we never do maybe times should change

Updates always have some kind of bug in it.

Sometimes they are small bugs that can be fixed. Sometimes its large bugs that can cause the site to go down for upto 3 days.

Every update contains a bug. And Nick cannot take that risk.

Thats why they try it on pool first.

I don't understand the logic behind these kind of threads. Funkypool/Funkysnooker aren't 'rival' sites, I'm sure Nick never intended to create an 'us v them' situation.

F_P is on the right lines regarding bugs, just wait a bit and as Nick has said over on pool, it will be on here in a week.

Pool may have features with the new layout that's easier to spot/change than Snooker.

I don't think that is quite true (perhaps rarely would be better). In any case, if, as you say, the update was a skin change then I think there are more important updates scheduled by Nick for FunkySnooker that should take priority. (See: http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=5181 ) .

We have the continue break after opponent leaves, pool still does not, jeesh these type of threads are really quite pointless, there really is no "us and them" no inequality! I'd much rather have the finished product then to be the guinea pig!



It's a little more then that, it's a whole new java based layout! So there is bound to be some bugs, like I said I'd much rather have the finished article then have to pick up on all the little niggles the game might have.

Patience is a virtue my friend.

If you read Nick's post on funkypool, it clearly states that funkysnooker will be updated in 'about a weeks time'.

All updates (if applicable) find their way to both sites.

If you wish to voice your frustration regarding the issue further, please use contact us; as false statements such as 'funkysnooker never get updates first' doesn't exactly warrant a thread imo.
