OK, this is pretty much the same but hoping that any crashes have been resolved. Please try and destruct the demo, move the mouse round, resize game as you play it!

http://www.poolgame.co.uk/snookerdemo/6/launcher.html

Again, any problems please let me know, and what you were doing when it occurred.

That is seriously smooth, Nick!

No, I've not deliberately changed any shot power - the only difference could be the efficiently of the code.

It stutters for me a lot and still feels like it rolls on forever.

Plus i don't have the java icon on the system tray, and ive just updated it aswell.

You wont get Java in the system tray with Opera, I'm not sure why it showed before. What is your operating system?

EDIT: To view Java console for Opera, go to Tools, Advanced, Java Console.

OK, and finally this one?

http://www.poolgame.co.uk/snookerdemo/7/launcher.html

I've lowered the FPS down to 35 fps, as for now I just want to fix problems and get it stable. Later we can look at improving things.

No problems for me Nick with regard to freezing/crashing.
Although shot power seems to have gone up a bit, but that might just be me.

Ok, I've had another go (and went back to 6 for comparison), I think I can see what you mean Damee.
It is very slight on my machine, it was however, very pronounced when I tried it logged into normal game window

OS Vista
Browser IE7

Damee, are you saying this is worse than version 6 for you? How does it compare to the live version?

Live version is perfect for me, might not be for everyone else though

Apart from the animation being less smooth (which is obviously to be expected as indicated in your post Nick) this version has no real problems (such as freezing or locking up) that I can find. In fact after a while I got used to the almost imperceptible 'stutter' and went back to Version 6 to check that it wasn't just my imagination in the first place - power of suggestion being a wonderful thing). So in a nutshell, Version 7 seems as stable as Version 6 in my case.

Right, hopefully that's the best of both worlds, it uses the best parts of the smooth animation from earlier and should adapt acceptably cross-browser / machine (except possibly for Java 1.4...)
