Hi, I was just thinking (as always) about future enhancements to the FunkySnooker/Pool sites and this wandered across my thoughts as a suggestion.

I must point out that 'clans' are no really my thing or indeed web design so this all may be a load of twaddle, but here goes...

Clans are becoming more and more popular and the inclusion of the Clan forum has been a big factor in this. What I am suggesting is that clans and clan matches are put on a more 'official' footing in a similar manner to tournaments such as having a dedicated section accessed via the main menu.

This section of pages could list the current clans/members/match results obviating the need for repeated posting of updates on the forum threads. Results could be generated automatically if games are tagged as clan matches (i.e. there would be ranked, friendly, tournament and clan match types)

Presumably, the page could also include the ability to request to join a clan (if places are available) for approval by the appropriate captain/co-captain. Also a request form to Register a clan indicating the Name, Captain/Co-Captain and minimum requirements - I would assume these would have to approved by the staff to stop abuse.

Of course the posibilites are endless (like automatic match invites for instance or notification that an opponent is available to play) and the amount of work involved in bringing it to fruition is very significant (hence the underlined future above).

Anyway, thats the suggestion in a nutshell - maybe other people have further thoughts.....

I think its good idea, there's a couple of problems, Clans change so much due to Ban's or deactivating accounts etc, that to have a separate page to manage would be very difficult.

It would be great if clans always ran smoothly..

It would definatly help get games finished. Captains would have to be more responsible over their clan for sure. I love the idea.

it would make life easier if something popped up to say your opponent is online.
