Dear Nick, et al.
I appreciate that to further the realism of the game, an upgrade was always in the pipeline.
But the cueball just seems to travel further than it used to. Especially whilst travelling towards a pocket.
Ergo, every time I pot a beautiful shot, the white quite naturally wants to follow it's playmate in a downwards. I wouldnt have noticed if not for the fact that it has happened thirty times in three days. There are coincidences and there are oddly programmmed physics.
Much adoration for the creation nonetheless,
Zwitterion

Smoother can mean faster too - try alternate cue control to bring your speed down zwitterion
The other option is to pot balls on an angle, rather than follow through on the straight ones

It just looks faster - this is what I have been told anyways

Still no 'touching ball' rule though... my only lament about the rules of f'ooker.

I can confirm this: the cue ball actually only looks like it travels farther than it should.
I think this impression depends on the smoothness of the game, and maybe any temporary lag you can have on your computer.
Regarding the touching ball rule, please try to stick to one topic per thread, in order to keep the forum as clean as possible. I suggest you to post it in another separate thread, and we'll discuss the question there.

The underlying physics have not been touched in any way.
The changes which could account for what you describe are:
1) angle change - the balls are rendered more accurately. This has been described in depth in the new layout thread.
2) optimized code allowing faster FPS (however this also can effect cue power - try using alternative cue control).
3) new code (when user = "zwitterion" white ball alter angle to enter pocket)

Lol Nick - are you sure you don't have a similar line of code for 'buddytobud'

Don't worry dave he has one for me saying if user = "damee" not allowed 147 anymore. (he admitted it )
Anyway, if the balls seems to move further than expected, why not just hit the shot with less power?

Lol guys
Yeah, it's probably a mix of the new balls and that I've been off the tables for so damn long. Practise practise practise...
My cue ball cries too...
