It started in 91 and finished in 2002. If you search on youtube there are a couple of episodes on there.

There is one of ronnie sulivan. John virgo remote contols the pack of reds and ronnie misses. Quite funny.

If it did come back. Then it wouldnt be the same without jim davidson and virgo. Vernan kay would prob end up being the presenter with john parrot being the ref.

Would love to see this back again but, as you said Phil, it wouldn't have Davidson and Virgo and much of the game's success came from the chemistry between them. Classic gameshows that have been brought back with new presenters never seem to have quite the same appeal.

Oh memories of a sat eve watching big break with mum and dad and brothers we loved it.

Me and my cousin used to stay round my gras at weekend, we used to play on a 3 foot snooker table, and the only time we ever stopped was to watch big break and robot wars.

What a classic, bring it back!!! But only with Jim Davidson and JV

Absolutely top draw, what a programme. Some of the prizes they used to give away though are poor in comparison to today's gameshows. Still fantastic, BBC1 5.45 every saturday.
