Was going to make different faces but thought i keep to original ones. Was thinking animated ones also. But having too many animated smilies on one page would just slow it right down.

The balls in the game got re-vamped and the smilies didnt. so i think they need a bit of a update

change black ball to confused then? as its the most pointless?

The thing is, they have to be the same kinda smilie. Because if nick likes them and uses them. Then all the previous posts the smilies will change to the new one. Its just a matter of saving over the image with the new one. If i changed say the yellow one to confused. Then every post with a yellow smiley will change to confused and will mess up the meaning of the post.

Animated.

They look great! Improving the snooker smileys has been on my list for ages - the current ones were done using a resized gif image which is why they have degraded.

The only problem with these ones is the shadow makes their height a bit too great, it would have to be squashed up a bit (to almost fit on a single line like the current ones). You can sample a single one with the "img" tag to see the effect I mean.

Certainly will happily use them.

I know what you mean, These were just samples really. I can resize them to a smaller size with a smaller shadow. So that they will fit onto single lines

Do you know the pixel height of a single line by any chance?

It's browser setting dependent - but you can use the current ones as a guide for size.
