Quite simple really, I like both these games and would like to see at least one additional tournament in both. There is plenty of free slots to do this, so I dont really know what the issue is and why everyone thinks it has to be carom or original. Why not Both.

I dont think we really need a discussion on it, as it will turn into the argument fest it was before. Just say simply, Yes or No , if you would also like this idea.

Seeing the reactions and feedback from the carom tournament petition ( http://www.funkysnooker.com/viewTopic.do?topicid=5545 ), I don't see the point in this thread, which is basically asking more than the other one...

It's like me asking you for £5, then you say no, then I ask for £10. Doesn't really make sense, does it?

Actually Blutch its asking for less, As i said above, im not asking for a debate, or an argument, I am acutally just asking for a yes or no to an extra tournament in both, so a simple yes or no would have done.

I think that asking people to just answer "yes" or "no" without explaining their point of view (i.e. making a poll) is a bad idea. When people explain their point of view, others can understand things they had not thought of before, and maybe change or qualify their opinions because they know more than before.

Also, in the end, having a poll will not help a lot, as polls only represent a minority of the concerned users (some don't read forums, some can't be bothered answering, ...)

That's why a debate is so important. In a debate, a member could have very good arguments, which could finally change the staff's opinion. With a poll this is not possible.

if theres free tournament time slots then why not fill them up? it will please both carom and orig players.
