Just too add its ironic because if Lucas would have scored that then a lot of Liverpool fans would love him now!

I think Lucas has been one of our top 5 players this season.

Liverpool have placed a £14m price tag on midfielder Lucas Leiva after a couple of top European sides inquired about his availability. (Daily Mirror)
You all might think I am competely crazy, but I would not sell Lucas for that little.

Yeah, i have said this all season to many of my mates (Liverpool fans) and they have laughed at me, its like most fans cant see past his mistakes and actually apreciate that he has been playing well of late

Yeahhh exactly what I think, he will never be appreciated because it isn't cool to admit he is an absolute legend!!! Ok a bit to far, but still, he is better than we give him credit for.

he was bought with such a big reputation built up for him it was inevitable people were disappointed when he played bad.
when i heard about him, he was captain of the brazil u21s and people were saying he was the next pele or something along those lines

Well he will never be a pele lol, if you look at his vids on youtube though you will probably find he was a skillful youngster, tough tackling and with a good shot on him, but in the prem he is more of an Anderson type player, but with potential to be muhc better IMO.
Basically, 3 things have happened, 2 of them linked
Massive hype making Liverpool fans expect great things as Dec said, so when he hasn't deleivered fans have got on his back, making him nervy in posession and just wanting to pass it simple - Michael Carrick style. Also lets not forget that this is the prem he is in now, so them vids on youtube are against basically ameteurs, park footballers, so of course he is going to look good.
Given time by Liverpool fans he will turn into another didi Hamann, who also rarely did anything spectacular, but still a very important player.

Yes Henry is to blame, and yes the referee is to blame. But do you know who I blame for it most? Fifa.
They got all worried when some of the 'bigger' (Or apparently not so) nations were struggling to get through, so they changed the rules in order to favour them. I'm sure the fact that France was one of these struggline nations will have had a major influence on it as well.
Was completely out of order to change the whole set-up in order to make it more likely for France & Portugal to go through.

they seeded the play-off draw so that the "stronger" teams would have a better chance of qualifying.
the fifa official behind the idea even said that the "ronaldo factor" and ensuring portugal qualified was an influencing factor in the decision to seed the draws

Ooh right, I thought it was a fix at the time, if you don't qualify top you don't deserve seeded protection.

couldnt agree more mike, not because im irish, but because other "weaker teams" battled hard to get into second place in their groups and it is unfair for them to be given a deliberately harder game to try and ensure "bigger" teams go through.
france are not a big team anymore and i really cant see them getting past the group stages.
did anybody hear roy keanes interview about ireland in the last few days? PRICELESS
