If you lived in liverpool you would of seen the amount of everton banners, flags, moyes faces. Etc all over the place. In fact this morning ive seen at least 4-6 flags out peoples windows and sone people still have their car flags on.

Part of rugby leagues charm is the fact that its not so commercial. Liverpool have a fan base that stretches across the whole world, but Warrrington just have about 10,000 (40,000 plus if it were a final...) fans. So you can go drinking with them after a game, and you feel like you actually matter to the team, its a strange feeling. Probably like supporting Accrington Stanley.

as a man city fan im really pleased to aquire Barry, just the type of player we need.

as for the fact he has gone for the cash this is true, but so will every player we aquire and like with chelsea years ago it means they gotta play for there position, and lets be honest M Hughes isnt gonna mess about!!

you say barry is overated, but he is a solid premiership player, rarely puts in a lazy performance and has always been solid wen playing for England.

Well Hicks and Gillette were to blame/thank for not coffing up the money for Barry, Barry was all set to go. He only had a single year left on his contract so went for 1/3 of the price. He is 29 though now isn't he? He will not get CL football at City as by the time City break into the top 4 he will be in his slippers.

I think City need solid players, we however need world class players so probs a good signing for them, although they could have set their sights higher.

Trouble is we need world class players with a smaller price tag

I expected us to have new owners by the summer, and am sure there will be some rumours before the season starts.
