I think the current system of where if you dont play games you slowly lose points is a good idea... Although i think that when someone of a high virtuoso rank doesnt play for a long time their points should reduce quicker, after all if their that good then they should be able to get the points back easily. I say this because on the arcade leaderboard people near the top (1st) when you go on their recent results they dont even have any! But they remain at the top becasue their points dont drop quick enough.

I would feel a bit heartbroken if my score was going down a lot though, I would feel a sense of achievement however, it wouldn't last long would it?

Actually that is the way it is mate - if you look at how rankings are calculated
http://www.funkysnooker.com/help/rankings
5) Daily reduction: a small amount is reduced from the top player's ranking.
To prevent player's simply retiring when they are top of the rankings a small amount is chopped of their ranking daily.
The rule is a 1 point drop for any user with a ranking over 925.0, a 0.75 point drop for any user with a ranking over 900.0, a 0.50 point drop for any user with a ranking over 850.0 and a 0.25 drop for users with a ranking over 800.0.
To ensure ranking drop doesn't change order of any 2 players the amount dropped for people close to the above limits is limited. An example, someone over 900.0 could only be reduced to a minimum of 899.50 (900.0 - 0.50).

08:35 Mon 1 Jun 09 (BST) [Link] I used to have another account (uz1, I thought I wasnt going to come back on FunkySnooker anymore but I was wrong), I managed to reach Virtuoso and one point was deducted from my account everyday.
