Just thought I would start a thread regarding the issue of how the system determines who gets the black ball respot when the scores are tied?

I have spoken to many moderators and apparently it is completely random. A few people i have spoke to agree with myself in the fact that there shud be a different approach on how it decides.

Just a couple of suggestions is maybe like a ball lag closest to the cushion takes the respot or even who has scored the highest break in the game. I dont know these are just suggestions.

I would like to see if any other people have any suggestions on this issue at all.

It just seems strange that it is random, but there must be some kinda way it decides.

I think the fair way to decide is to have a shootout on who gets closest to the top cushion (1 shot only).

this has been brought up so many times now, and always the argument lies that the respot is actually random in real life so that is why it remains this way,
