It's probably been mentioned before, I know it has been mentioned over the years and there's probably a couple of threads for it - can't find them though, but, in the game options we have 'ignore new pm requests, ignore guests' e.t.c so why not have a simple 'ignore all text in the chat box too'.

I know you can open up the oppositions pm box and put them on ignore - but that's a bit of a pain each time and then having to remove them afterwards is a bit of a drag.

Moving text in the box might sound petty as a distraction, it doesn't really affect me on 20s games or tournaments but on 10s when the opposition is talking absolute nonsense trying to put you off you cannot help but look at the box and therefore it can ruin your concentration.

Why not just push the table down to hide the chat box?
Then you can click and drag the top bar to increase the table size too ...
