I was wondering what people thought of having to nominate the desired colour (just like in real life )

Reason being that if u go for the blue or above and foul, its counted as a foul four as opposed to the value of whatever high colour you might be going for.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, just wondered what people thought of this and if it would apply...

It is a good point and it would be nice.... however... there are a number of issues in introducing this:
Speed tournies, implementation of how to select the colour etc.

To me it would slow the game down, and with say a 10 sec shot clock, its not really viable.
