Please remind that naming and shaming is not allowed on the forums. If you have a conflict with someone, sort it out with him/her, or use the contact us form, but the forums are not the right place to do that.
The current system aims to prevent tournament games from lasting too long, and having players eventually disqualified because they run out of time. The fact that it doesn't let you finish your break is an unpleasant side-effect, but that's how it works now.
Instead of repeating myself, I'll remind you that there have been numerous threads about this, and you may want to have a look at them. The last one is the following:

Yes blutch, lets all be nice and please dont name and shame dirty cheats, lets protect them and report them so that nothing can happen and they will carry on doing it , thats sounds like a better idea. What a joke, Im sick of mods telling us not to name and shame. Why the hell shouldnt we, like they deserve the protection. And the only time someone gets banned around here is when they actually cheat. Noone is banned or done anything for unsportmanlike behaviour. that is what needs to change.

Mate, get a grip. Mods do their best to run the site, and just because you see nothing is going on, there is infact a lot of work in the background. You have to remember that mods and admin do all this for nothing, they just do it because they want to help the site. I think you really need to look at it in a different perspective and thank for mods and admin for what they are doing.

Naming and shaming is and has always been forbidden in the forums, but there have always been other ways to report any bad behaviour. Everything needs to be done at the right place, otherwise the whole site will become a huge mess.
If you want to discuss the forum rules, please do it in another place, as this is currently completely off-topic. I'm not opposed to a discussion about forum rules, but please understand that this should also be done at the right place.
Now back to topic. Thanks.

Damien young Damien, please read what I said. I was not saying the mods did nothing, i was implying that there is no rule in place to ban unsportsmanlike people therefore they are unable to do anything. The mods do do a good job and yes they are paid for it, with free premium. However, they know this when they take the role. And my point was, that why should'nt we have a name and shame board, and why should lee have to keep schtum about it. To be honest, it just annoys me

"i was implying that there is no rule in place to ban unsportsmanlike people therefore they are unable to do anything"
Theres also no rule in place to stop unsportsmanlike conduct. Its not against the rules in any sport (as far as I know).
I had an idea about this in the past that went largely unnoticed. That idea was to stop the break when the 1 minute remaining warning appears. That way; you get to continue your break (and probably finish it) without the risk of getting disqualified.

Don't forget that some tournament games are played in more than 1 frame. In that case, allowing every break to be continued until that point would leave the possibility of not letting enough time to finish the game.
That's the kind of situation that the current solution tries to avoid. The current solution considers that finishing the tournament match is more important than anything else, that's why it sacrifices other parts of the game, like big breaks, to make sure that the game is finished quickly enough.
However I totally agree with your idea if it's the last frame of the match.
There's actually no perfect solution, every solution would have to sacrifice something.
