nope its very simples......, Any Tv programme is on a 4-5 second delay between transmission and hitting our screens. However, they are able to receive it almost instantly with the help of satelites etc. And with a boost they can speed the transmission to our screens from derren browns programme by just 1-2 seconds allowing for this to happen.
Second solution- Why did he not call the numbers an hour before the lottery? Why did the numbers have to come first? The numbers have LED transmitters from a projector allowing derren brown to see them 1 second before us. That gives time to tell us.
There are so many logical theories and this was purely a ratings stunt. A stunt and an illusion that most of us wouldnt know how to do unless we worked in television.
This guy is a genius though and I am a big fan, have seen a few of his stand ups and sometimes he leaves you speechless. But what he did last night was merely as usual, an illusion.

The reason he couldn't reveal them beforehand was because the BBC have a license with Camelot to reveal the Lottery Numbers first. If he'd revealed the numbers beforehand, and got them right (like he did..), C4 would have been open for a lawsuit for revealing the lottery numbers.

I reckon that is what he wanted you to believe

He wouldn't be revealing the lottery numbers though, he'd simply be revealing what he thought would be the lottery numbers. If I put on the internet what numbers I had on my lottery ticket then I won would I be open for a lawsuit?
It was clever, obviously fake, but what I don't get is that the balls he picked were always next to him. Unless they had a little screen inside them...

Thats not strictly true. The Lottery closes at 7.30pm. Noone can buy a ticket after this time. Just a bit of a coincidence though that he had to wait for them first dont ya think?
Also , He has achieved his goal, we are talking about it

I think this was a result of an illusion, i'd like to see how it is done.
He clearly states there is no delay and i doubt he would lie about anything he said. Also i very much doubt the Lotto/BBC had anything to do with it.
It must be something in that particular room, possibly with that second camera that was never actually used other than the once at the beginning. Any reason for it?

he may of said that but if you put 2 tv's in the same room with both on bbc1 and one of them using a arial and the other tv using sky or virgin you listen for 1 word lets say "news" you will notice the arial tv will say if 1st and a few seconds later the sky tv will say "news".
also arial is 1 second of real time and sky is upto 5 seconds of real time.
that does my head in when i'm watching somethink on sky and downstairs the same channel is on using arial, is sounds like a echo

There is no law against predicting the numbers. Also there was an easy way for him to substantiate his claim, all he had to do was buy a ticket, i wonder why he didn't. .
Oh and if we knew how the illusion worked we'd all be professional illusionists, you don't all believe that magicians really saw women in half, do you??

Yeah I heard the casino thing too but that lottery thing is silly, U.K have lottery as do most American states, he's still allowed in here and there.
Anyway that's besides the point, Because David Blane is better!!

He was banned by Channel 4 from buying a ticket. Like he said, greed may have altered the outcome.
I thought it was quite impressive. Just watched David Blaine get shot from point blank range.
