Please feel free to add any pointers to any players on how to improve their own game!

We all know practice does influence your own game signicantly, but please share ideas on potting, breaking, use of cue ball spin etc.. to help all players on this site.

In particular this will benefit the new players amongst us, who rely on the more experience player and look to for ideas.

Thanks in advance.

By playing the best. I wasn't that great and confident at orig until me and damee played a 1st to 100 friendly on it. Although i lost 100-48 it improved my game, I also managed to hit my first ever original century during that aswell. By playing the best, forces you to have to play better yourself in order to win.

Other than that practice a variety of things on the practice table. From positional play, potting, and breaking. Theres 3 different forms on the practice table, the full table, the colours and the line-up. Use them.

Hope this helps.

I'll second that. My game improved rapidly by playing people far better than myself on a regular basis. Sounds silly, but you learn a lot from getting a good thumping off of quick_pot and ste_efc

Potting the blue into every pocket helped me alot. Also practicing long blacks, instead of going for the simple green or brown helps too.

Dont ever take your eye off the pot. I do this a lot thinking about positional play more than potting the actual ball. I gotta get out of that habbit.

Oo a bit of subtle naming and shaming there.

Less naming and shaming, more on topic discussion. That goes for everybody.
