Ok i have asked and it seems people are agreeing with me that recently it seems when you are looking to cut thin on a ball even tho the cursor is clearly touching object ball we find that the shot misses tha ball completey,
i noticed this in carom after a legthy session that not only myself but many others were missing completely wen going for slight contact
once or twice id think fair enough but the amount of time this happened was alarming and worth a querie, is there anything wrong?

I'd agree with you there, happens a lot because misjudgment happens a lot... it's not a bug.

The calibration of the game cannot be 100% perfect...

The accuracy depends on your screen resolution. On a screen with a better resolution, the cursor may not have been touching the ball.

hardly counter acting as you put it, just an answer you seem to think everyone is against you.

Anyway, if you could provide some screen shots of cases where the ball should have hit but hasn't, maybe we can investigate the case further, and eventually Nick could have a look and give an official answer.

perhaps the problem appears with some specific (or one in particular) cursor type.

Good thought. I use the ghost cursor. And after going back to the original cursor, i was missing the object ball left, right and centre.
Dont know if this is whats happened to Lee though.

Obviously the old cursor is less precise than the new ghost cursor. If you are having precision issues with the old cursor, the only solution is to switch to the ghost cursor!

I know that Martin! Lmao.
I just brought it up for the fact that could be what was happening to Lee. *Confused smiley*
I still use the ghost cursor. I just tried the old one for old times sake.

im happier with the ghost symbol,
i think its the resolution but for some reason it says its all ok, i still think this is the problem.

It is to do with screen resolution. On my small laptop screen I aim to miss the ball on thin cuts and it cuts object ball in.
