...?
I for one do tap and have no problem with doing so. The aim of the game is to kill your opponent and if not attempting a pot yourself is a way of doing that then so be it.
Every now and again I get "cheat" etc etc - usually from long standing well respected players on the site - and I think it is completely uncalled for.
I accept that some people would not choose to tap themselves but to accuse someone of cheating is going too far
What do others think? (in agreement or otherwise)

Tapping is a completely allowed tactic, it's up to you to make your choice.
Its advantage is that when you have more lives than your opponent, you can afford to lose one to give him/her a much more difficult shot than if you didn't tap.
However if after tapping your opponent still manages to fluke it, you lose your advantage because tapping cost you a life.
In any case, it's definitely not cheating.

I personally don't tap, and always try to pot, but that's also because I'm very much concerned about my pot success.

I can't really see the good sportsmanship angle to be honest. Everyone plays the game with the hope or intention of winning and to do that you must kill your opponents.
There isn't a great deal of difference between tapping in killer and laying a snooker in arcade or orig where the only alternative is a tough pot.
Would you call the latter bad sportsmanship aswell?

I completely understand every aspect of what your saying about tapping and why so many players do it.
I myself find tapping boring even in the other games as most players who know me will tell you. Tapping is not only boringly tiresome its just so dull.
Wether it be about sportsmanship or not don't tap, makes the game much more entertaining.

And would you say it would be the act of a good sportsman to call someone a cheat?
