im sick of the chat box,

we can reduce it to 1

why cant we erase it to 0

if people wanna talk they can, but for those who dont i think there should be away to remove it,

i dont like to be rude to people

but i also like to be able to just play

wen i want to play i find myself constantly answering questions or even feelin like the other player is trying to use put off tactics.

if i could erase the chat box to 0 then that would resolve this issue,

also it would help players who want to improve.

initially i was thinking about real snooker

imagine you got ronnie at the table

and higgins sits at the side

shouting ..... all yours now,,,,, or good game well played when ronnies on his second red,

it dosnt happen because it would throw the players concentration.

or mark selby shouting gs! every two seconds

but yes i would love the option to get rid of the box totally

I wouldnt say get rid of it completly but maybe a choice to modify it

for example

no chat box would mean you cannot see announcements from staff or the game itself

staff cannot chat to you in public, which is sometimes important

might cause alot of bad sportsmanship fragments as you dont reply to the "gg" or whatever

i do understand nothing happens in the real game, however this is an internet site.

I think some filter or another solution would be better than getting rid of it completly

Seriously though i see where your coming from Lee. I agree with you but i also agree with what Kev says. Personally I'd keep the chat box for me. It's what i'm used to and I can see what people are saying.

i'd like to be able to get rid of the chat box for sure...just to make the table size bigger.

also...every single time i open the game i change the chat box size to 1 straight away. the game remembers all my other settings, so why doesn't it remember that i put the chat box size to 1?

table size wouldnt be bigger though because you still have game rooms, find player buttons etc, unless they were moved along the bottom instead of the side.

Dont like the idea personally, taking an internet game far too seriously if you would like to remove a chat box so you can concentrate on 'your game'.

currently my head has alot going on with relationships etc

i sign in to funky to escape all the stress and then i find im having to chat to people about nothing, simply i didnt have the energy to be bothered so i thought it would be great to minimize the box completley.

so many ways of looking at this.

sometimes in tournaments for example

you draw a player that you have issues with or a player you know wont shut up.

ill use showcrates as an example.

everytime i play him he says, oh no your gonna win and if he misses he says '' all yours ''

i sit here thinking, shut the hell up, every single game he does this. we all know why he does it. its just the principal of the matter really.

so to minimize the box against him would be great.

next game playing say buddytobud id wanna chat with dave so could re open the box.

to be fair it was more for the purpose of just not wanting to talk at the time

but feeling like youve got too cos opponent asking questions or general chat

nothing to do with people annoying me,

just a case of having to reply to be polite wen all i wanted to do was pot a few balls

you cant ignore everyone there is a significant minority who resort to petty tactics
