I've seen this issue alluded to in many threads, but never addressed fully...

Can you play ranked games against other users on your network? e.g. can i play against my housemate without having my stats re-set? I think you should be able to, but i see it may be difficult to police?? anyways wanted it cleared up so i dont get mym stats re-set if i play my housemate

It is difficult to police yes.

We always advise you don't for this particular reason, especially if one of you is better than the other, but one or two games with your friend may cost your rank to be reset as to the staff it may look like you are using two accounts

i agree with with kev..its hard for us staff to police it..and if u happen to win 3 or 4 games in a row..it would look like your using two accouts to gain rank..and a moderator on line would act and u you may have your rank reset..thats why we advice you not to

i have to agree with revenge and begger here but if you only play friendlies with your friend i cant see any harm, only way that could be cheating is if you set one up for high breaks.

but surely you cant set up for high breaks you can only set up for one shot only then its upto them,so i would say only play friendlies.

1 or 2 i can not see doing any harm, but if you play a lot of games and they are favoring one person, even if all is innocent, is not a very good idea.

if staff turn a blind eye to a few friendly's then people will start to take advantage of that and use this method to set themselves up for high breaks. I recently had my stats reset for playing my brother, it didn't bother me much at all, in fact i came back playing better. The rule is there for a reason and i think it should stay that way.
