picture the scenario

you've just potted the red left yourself no colour

what do u do????

do u a try to hit a colour as the game dictates you do

or do u make a delierate foul and hit a red to leave yourself safe

and just for the 1's who say i tried for the colour and hit the red this is a deliberate foul were talking about no attempt to go anywhere near a colour was made just making sure ur opponent cant get a pot in

would you class that as unsportsmanship
well i do i honestly think there are people on here that are cheating there way to wins by doing this it aint sportsman like and after all its only a game but its a game after all we all want to win

any1 else got any views on this?????????????

I dont mind what they do, it is annoying but if they tap up you tap up and keep going my safety is a good aspect of my game ( I hardly use it) but if somebody wants a challange then let them bring it to me.

Also it's not cheating as it is there for you to use aswell nobody is making or stoping you from using it.

Just play people at their own game.

My opinion is that its cheating but at the very least its bad sportsmanship. Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should.

Its part and parcel of funkysnooker, even though it can be annoying sometimes.
If your opponent does take the deliberate foul option, you are awarded a foul, so that evens it up a bit, and you are then given the option to put said player back in.
Swings and roundabouts really, not much you can do about it, like si said, if your safety is up to scratch then you should be able to put yourself in a better position eventually anyway.

But thats completely different. There are two aims in killer - to stay alive and to kill. Tapping is a way of achieving one of those aims and is well within the way the game should be played but that is just my opinion. I appreciate everyone else's thoughts also.

In real snooker deliberate fouling will cost you the frame. You are doing nothing other than gaining an unfair advantage against your opponent (in contrast to tapping in killer).

couldnt agree more with that! the idea of the game is to win. people have no problem if you pot a ball roll up behind another ball so they cant pot. its called a safety. most people even say ns or whatever.
tapping is just another way of getting a safety (which doesnt count on the stats but its still a safety)

why should you smash a ball in a vain attempt to pot it when 80% of the time it wont work but more than likely will let the next person score?

Whats tapping in killer got to do with it? ANnyone who has played killer for real knows that that is a used tactic. Especially when money is involved. Lifes a female dog

what i'm on about is......
say theres me and someone else left, i have 1 life and they have 3. they have a pot on. but instead of potting it. they tap it so that i cant pot.
that doesnt seem like good sportsmanship to me.

As other people has said previously, its part and parcel of the game killer. as in the deliberate foul in the other games (arcade, ragular and original) i do it myslef. it may be unfair and bad sportsmanship but you do what you think will win you the game, i totaly dissagree with people which says it is cheeting.

i know its part of the game and you CAN do it! its just pretty cheeky in my opinion!! same with delibarately fouling in any game to gain an advantage.

yes but how does the game decide that? it cant. it cant differenciate between attempting to get out of a snooker and deliberate fouling.

or maybe im totally wrong

No it can't. Basically the same reason why we can not have the "foul and a miss" rule on here, as the game can not judge if it was a valid attempt or not.
