It would help distinguish between clans of similar ability, and would add a bit of pressure if the match was close.

Have it so that each clan plays each other twice, it would mean that the league is twice as long and a lot more interesting.

about win bonus i don't mind for rankings but i don't really want it in the main league.

We still want the season to last around 3 months. If it's any longer, we run a much higher risk of clans folding.
It's probably best to leave schedule/format discussions until we know how many clans will be participating (?).

me and seb are currently discussing this if its 6 or 7 clans like it was last season then this will probably go ahead if 8 or more then probably same as this season

ive been wanting 2 divisions as long as these rankings but we need around 8 stable clans which we only have about 5 at the moment so until those stable clans rise (those who can cope after a season) then it probably won't go ahead

Home and away. Away team could Get 5 bonus points for winning an away fixture would make away games important and could keep the league even closer. . Thats how the league is run at My local club. Apart from its only 1 point.
It would be possible to have it finished in 3 month if every fixture each clan Had 2 fixtures. But then There could be alot more defaults thats All. But would also give each member in a clan a game each fixture.

^Yup, in the one fixture set this season where some clans had 2 league and a cup game, we had increased defaults right away.
But most of the time, clans have 2 fixtures to play (1 league + 1 cup; or 2 league)
That's why I always recommend that people join the individual league, at least they will most likely have a game.

The bonus was added on pool because a clan beat all other clans and won all matches but didn't win the league. As pool games are 15 points per match there is a logic that a smaller bonus would be required on snooker where it is 6 points per match.
The only thing I want to keep in place is that a captain should never think that a late sub is not worth getting the bonus points. If for example the captain knows his sub will get spanked 6-0, he might not make the sub when the bonus is only 6. He will definitely make the sub if the bonus is 10 currently.
That was the original reasoning behind making it 10 points.
But as you said, 10 points is a lot on the league table, so if enough people agree, then it can be lowered.
