Can't make that sub.
He wasn't in the clan league team at the start of the fixture, so he can't play in the pre-season friendlies.

Can I suggest this rule is reviewed? If we can still make subs before the start of the season what is the harm in testing their commitment to play in a friendly?

You can suggest it.
If we allow this, then a clan with few games played will just get random strangers to play a couple of frames at the end of the deadline to pass the test.
1 fixture set quarantine exists for that reason.

Ummmm I suppose its possible, unlikely i'd hope but possible. Still I think the current rule favours the league more than the clans, which is more likely to lead to further unplayed games in the league..
Still... your call, matters little to me.

A couple of seasons ago, this rule was not introduced yet, and it happened all the time. One time, we added ste_efc towards the end of a fixture to win a game for us (he never ended up playing it lol), which could've potentially won the league.
If you saw that Allstarz weren't going to complete the games, would you just let them go to default or would you get someone to play them?

I wasn't refering to league games just the pre-season friendlys. I agree it has got to be there for league games.
